A five-day workshop on capacity building of CBE teachers in Daikundi Province has been organized by RRSWO with financial support from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on April 20, 2024.
In this workshop, the first five days were dedicated to male teachers while the second five days are for female teachers; hundreds of teachers from all districts of Daikundi Province receive capacity-building training in the center of Daykundi province.
During the opening ceremony of the workshop, Mr. Ezatullah Nabil, Provincial coordinator of RRSWO, Mr. Mohammad Javad Afzali, the head of UNICEF office in Daykundi Province, and Mr. Qari Enayatullah Sahar, the Provisional Education Director in Daykundi Province, spoke about the importance of this workshop for teachers.
Furthermore, on April 22 of the current year, on the third day of the workshop, Mr. Sarajuddin Ghafoory, the executive director of RRSWO, along with his accompanying team Mr. Haider Khairkhah monitoring and evaluation officer, Qadeer Ghori human resource officer and Mohammad Gul yazdanpan the child protection officer traveled to Daykundi Province to oversee and monitor the workshop.
On April 24, Mr, Ghafory delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the workshop for male teachers, commending and thanking the efforts and dedication of teachers in advancing teaching matters. Mr. Ghafoory described the organization’s plans in various provinces and added that: “The quality of community based education in Daykundi Province is commendable, and the efforts and dedication of teachers have made Daykundi a model for other provinces, including Ghor.”
Mr. Ghafoory also commended the staff and local team and highlighted the continuous monitoring of local staff as another factor in the quality of education. Furthermore, Mr. Rajab Ali Azad, the education officer in Daykundi, expressed satisfaction with the main office’s support for the Daykundi project and called for further support from the main office in the community based education project in Daykundi Province.
It is worth mentioning that the five-day workshop for male teachers has concluded, and from April 25 to April 29, the female teachers will participate in the capacity-building workshop.
