A capacity-building training workshop for ALC and CBS teachers was held by the provincial office of Rah-e-Rahnaward Social Welfare Organization (RRSWO) in Ghor province.
This capacity building program took place from the 20th to 25th of April 2024, at the Firouzkoh center, covering 348 teachers affiliated with the RRSWO office in Morghab, Charsada, Dowlatyar, and Firouzkoh districts.
The training was organized in two three-day sessions, with teachers from Firouzkoh and Dowlatyar participating in the first three days – from 20th to 22nd of April – and teachers from Morghab and Charsada participating in the second three days – from 23rd to 25th of April 2024.
The commencement of this training program was attended by respected Ustad Serajuddin Ghafory, the executive director of RRSWO, along with their central team, Sheikh Hafizullah Mahfuz, the head of education and program officers of the Ghor education department, Mohammad Naeem Taiman, the representative of UNICEF office in Ghor, Mohammad Nasir Tawakuli, provincial coordinator of RRSWO in Ghor, and their provincial team, Mohammad Shoaib Safi, provincial coordinator of ACDO office in Ghor, Ustad Ghulam Rabbani Dehzad, responsible for education at the SAHERO provincial office in Ghor, and some other guests.
Mr. Ghafory, the executive director of RRSWO, emphasized the importance of this training program during its opening ceremony, and urged teachers to actively engage in the program and apply the new methods and experiences gained to their respective, classes.
Mr. Mohammad Nasir Tawakuli, provincial coordinator of RRSWO in Ghor, considered capacity-building programs for human resources as a fundamental element of any organization and stressed that they will spare no effort in enhancing the capacity of their staff and affiliates.
Sheikh Hafizullah Mahfuz, head of education in Ghor, appreciated the conduction of the capacity-building training program for teachers by the RRSWO office and emphasized the need for a unified and coordinated educational system across all educational organizations – schools, Madrassas, and collaborating organizations in the education sector.
After the completion of the last day, the training workshop concluded on the 25th of April 2024 with a closing ceremony attended by representatives from the education department, UNICEF office, PC and staff of the RRSWO provincial office in Ghor, teachers, and other guests.
The Rah-e-Rahnaward Social and Welfare Organization in Ghor covers 348 ALC and CBS classes funded by UNICEF, providing education opportunities for underprivileged children in remote areas of Ghor province.
