In October 2022, with the generous support of UNICEF, a CBE class was established in Dahan Qul village targeting children who were previously deprived of the right to education.
Initially due to the lack of proper infrastructure, classes were conducted inside private homes, where space was limited, and the learning environment was less than ideal. Despite these challenges, the thirst for education among the community never faded.
In an extraordinary display of dedication and ownership, the local people of Dahan Qul village took it upon themselves to improve the learning environment for their children. Recognizing the transformative power of education and the opportunities it brings, a group of motivated villagers many of whom are parents and elders decided to construct a dedicated classroom bulling for the CBE class.

What makes this initiative truly inspiring is that the construction was not funded by external sources but entirely through the voluntary contributions of the villagers themselves. People offered their time, labor, and locally available materials, driven by a shared dream of seeing their children learn in a safe, well-structured environment.
Mr. Sayed Ahmad a respected elder in the village, shared his motivation: we have seen how education can change lives. Our village has suffered from isolation for too long. We could not wait for someone else to come and build for us. This is our responsibility. Our children deserve a proper place to learn.
Although the construction of permanent classroom is not yet folly completed and the building work is still ongoing, the CBE class in Dahan Qul is already active. Children especially girls, are attending the class, and this has brought noticeable changes to the lives of families and the future of their children.
Since the CBE class stared, the interest and participation of children, especially girls, has increased significantly. Children now attend the class with more motivation, parents see improvements in their children’s learning, and the overall attitude of the village towards education has become more positive. Many families who were previously uninterested or hesitant about education are now supporting and encouraging the program.
The people of Dahan Qul village kindly and hopefully request support from RRSWO as the implementing partner and UNICEF as the main donor to help them complete the construction of the classroom. The believe that once the building is finished, the learning environment for their children will be safer, more suitable, and more effective, and it will create more opportunities for both girls and boys to attend school.
