Mr. Sarajuddin Ghafory, the Executive Director of RRSWO, met and had a discussion with UNICEF Western Region officials. This meeting, which took place at the UNICEF Ghor Provincial Office, was attended by Mr. Abdul Khaliq Khaliq, Head of UNICEF in Ghor Province, Mr. Nasir Ahmad Nadeem Western Region Education Cluster Coordinator, and Mr. Naseer Ahmad Nazari, UNICEF Emergency Officer.
Firstly, Sarajuddin Ghafory and Tahereh Bahmani, Deputy Director of RRSWO, discussed RRSWO activities, especially the role of the RRSWO in assisting recent flood victims in Ghor Province in coordination with the esteemed UNICEF Office in detail.
Mr. Ghafory stated that all RRSWO staff are fully prepared to align with UNICEF programs and are ready to serve in all areas to facilitate the identification of affected individuals and the distribution of aid to flood victims.
Then, Abdul Khaliq Khaliq discussed creating coordination and issues related to education, recent floods, and the effective activities of RRSWO in Ghor Province.
In this meeting, Mr. Nasir Ahmad Nadeem, the Western Region Education Cluster Coordinator, spoke about the education situation, the recent floods’ impacts, and the RRSWO team’s contribution to educational services and cooperation in emergency situations.
Mr. Nadeem added, “The leadership and staff of RRSWO have proven that they can perform their assigned tasks efficiently, on time and become valuable service providers for the community.”
Then, Mr. Naseer Ahmad Nazari, UNICEF Emergency Officer, provided necessary information regarding the process of assessment, identification, and distribution of aid to recent flood victims. He expressed satisfaction with the necessary coordination and collaboration of the RRSWO team.
It is worth mentioning that recent floods in the center and districts of Ghor Province have resulted in loss of life and significant financial damages to the province’s residents.
