On Thursday, April 18, 2024 (29 Hamal 1403), Ms. Hosna Sharifi, Education Program Officer and Acting Head of UNICEF in Ghor, along with her team, visited RRSWO’s provincial office of in Ghor. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss crucial matters related to the progress of the education project in Ghor.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Sarajuddin Ghafory, Executive Director of RRSWO, Mohammad Naseer Tawakuli, RRSWO’s Provincial Coordinator in Ghor, and other colleagues from the provincial office of RRSWO.
The Executive Director of RRSWO warmly welcomed Ms. Sharifi and her colleagues. They discussed the challenges and issues regarding the Community-Based Education program which is implemented by RRSWO in Ghor. The Executive Director emphasized the importance of UNICEF attention and support, especially to RRSWOs CBE project in Ghor province.
Ms. Sharifi expressed her appreciation for the effective and efficient implementation of activities and the regular coordination carried out by the provincial team of RRSWO in collaboration with UNICEF in Ghor. She emphasized UNICEF’s commitment to further and continuous collaboration to provide quality education services to the marginalized communities in Ghor.
During the meeting, the UNICEF provincial representative also had the opportunity to visit an ongoing capacity-building training program for RRSWO’s provincial staff on “Child Protection (PSEA), Human Resources, Monitoring and Evaluation.”
RRSWO, with the financial support of the United Nations Children’s Fund, covers 348 CBS and ALC classes in Ferozkoh, Dowlatyar, Marghab, and Chahar Sadah districts of Ghor province. This program benefits nearly ten thousand children, both boys and girls, who have been deprived of education. Through these classes, they have the opportunity to engage in learning and education.
